Excellence and Merit Awards
John Ferneley College provides a nurturing and positive environment where praise has a powerful role in promoting achievement and students are encouraged to recognise their strengths.
The ‘Excellence and Merit Awards’ scheme encourages students to produce high quality work that is measured against their own ability. Awards are given for good work – Merit and Excellence stickers are kept in the student’s personal planner.
At the end of each term, students with bronze, silver and gold merit and excellence certificates have their achievements celebrated at a year-group Awards Ceremony.
