Uniform
Students at John Ferneley College are expected to wear the correct college uniform. The uniform is an expression of community spirit that helps students to develop their pride in the college, as well as being a practical and relatively inexpensive way of clothing a young person for college.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The items marked* can be purchased from Kidszone in Melton.
- A black blazer* (with embroidered John Ferneley College motif)
- A plain white shirt or white blouse
- A John Ferneley College clip-on tie*
- Black or charcoal grey trousers or skirt
- Sensible shoes, not trainers
- Jeans are not acceptable and jewellery should not be worn. If you have pierced ears, you are permitted to wear either studs or sleepers, but they are to be removed for PE
For PE, girls should wear:
- indoors: a red John Ferneley polo shirt, black cycling shorts or regular shorts, indoor trainers
- outdoors: as above with outdoor trainers or, as the weather gets colder, a black John Ferneley sweatshirt* and black tracksuit bottoms
For PE, boys should wear:
- indoors: a red John Ferneley polo shirt*, black shorts and indoor trainers
- outdoors: a black John Ferneley sweatshirt*, black tracksuit bottoms and football boots or old trainers
