The aim of the programme is to support students who are ‘gifted’ or ‘talented’ learners and then give them greater challenges in lessons as well as other opportunities to develop their abilities outside of the everyday timetable. By nurturing a child’s natural gifts or talents, we hope to help them realise their full potential.
The Gifted and Talented Programme is supported by local authorities and the Department of Education, which provides guidance, materials and resources to ensure students derive the maximum benefit from the programme.
