Culture Zone

The Culture Zone is home to Modern Foreign Languages and Humanities – Geography, History and Religious Education.

In Geography, the key issues of global warming, rich and poor countries, population growth and famine, international migration and globalisation are balanced with national and local issues. The study of History enables students to learn about the past so that we might better understand the present. World religions are studied in RE, challenging students to consider and reflect on their own personal beliefs, leading to an appreciation and tolerance of different cultures.

French and Spanish are taught by a highly qualified team of linguists, with residential European trips organized to allow students to consolidate and improve their language skills.

The Zone Director, Mr Trevor Wright, will be happy to answer any questions relating to Modern Foreign Languages and Humanities  - please contact the College by phone or email.
