Parents
Parents have an important role within the John Ferneley community and their support and input is welcomed at all times.
There is an excellent system of two-way communication between the college and parents to ensure that we are all able to play an active role in each student’s personal, social and academic development. Parents are given regular up-to-date information about their child’s progress and are encouraged to communicate with staff.
From November 2010, parents will have an individual password to give them access (via the “My Child button below) to their child’s ongoing progress recorded on our on-line assessment tracking system.
There are many wonderful parents doing wonderful things to support the college community, such as lending a hand during events or field trips.
Friends of Ferneley is a very active parent / teacher association. In return, we support parents through the provision of staff supervision for early bus arrivals and a homework club after school until 4.30pm in the college bookshop each weekday.
