Ski Trip - February 2010
After 6 glorious days of skiing in Austria, 24 John Ferneley students came back tired and happy at the end of February half-term. At the resort of Bad Klienkircheim we had 4 hours a day of ski lessons in brilliant sun-shine with instructors that were impressed by the students effort and ability – after 3 days skiing on lower slopes they were ready to ‘ski the mountain’.
The Bellevue, a 4-star family hotel located a 25 minute ride from the slopes along a frozen lake, was our home for the week. With glorious scenery the journey gave us an opportunity to prepare ourselves for the day ahead and share tales of the past days’ daring antics. The large games room at the hotel was the social centre for the evening after sharing a very satisfying dinner (despite the amount of exercise no-one managed to lose any weight!).
